MGIS Digital City Officially Recognized as an IB PYP Candidate School

A Milestone in Our IB Journey

MGIS Digital City is proud to announce its official recognition as a Candidate School for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). This distinction marks the beginning of our formal journey toward full IB authorization. It reflects our dedication to delivering internationally aligned, high-quality education in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 for educational excellence.

Becoming a Candidate School means that MGIS Digital City has met the initial requirements for entry into the IB process. We are not fully authorized yet—we are now in the stage of working closely with the IB to continue developing and aligning our practices for final accreditation.

What This Means for Our Digital City Learners

Following the successful authorization of our Qortuba campus, our Digital City team is now starting to implement the PYP framework to promote creativity, global-mindedness, and inquiry-based learning.

In future candidacy phases, our teachers will undergo IB professional development and adopt new approaches that support the holistic development of every student. The PYP encourages a model of education that connects classroom learning to real-life experiences while nurturing curiosity, communication, and collaboration.
