MGIS Digital City Hosts Parent Engagement Session as Part of IB PYP Authorization Journey
February 22nd, 2026
Advancing Our IB PYP Journey
At MGIS Digital City campus, learning is built on curiosity, inquiry, and meaningful exploration. As we work toward receiving our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) authorization by the next academic year at Digital City campus, we recently welcomed parents to participate in a hands-on engagement session as an important part of the authorization process.
Parents Experiencing Inquiry Firsthand
During the session, parents stepped into the role of learners. They explored inquiry-based activities, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged in collaborative discussions just as their children do every day. This experience allowed them to better understand how the PYP framework nurtures critical thinking, creativity, communication, and independence.
Rather than simply observing, parents actively participated in the learning process. They explored how units of inquiry are structured, how questions drive deeper understanding, and how students are encouraged to reflect, investigate, and take ownership of their learning journey.
Strengthening the Home – School Partnership
Parent engagement is a key element of the IB authorization journey, reflecting a shared commitment to inquiry-based learning. At MGIS, we believe strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. When parents understand how learning happens, they are better equipped to support their children beyond the classroom.
