Exploring Nature and Building Skills: A Camping Trip to King Khalid Royal Reserve

Our recent one-night camping trip to The Leaf campsite at the King Khalid Royal Reserve was an unforgettable adventure for our students from grades 4, 5, and 6. The trip was more than just a getaway; it was an opportunity for our students to develop essential nature survival skills in a beautiful natural setting.
The Concept of the Trip:
Within the amazing scenery of the King Khalid Royal Reserve, formerly known as the Al-Thumamah Wildlife Park, our students embarked on an educational journey filled with new adventures and discoveries. Led by experienced guides, students engaged in interactive games and hands-on activities like:
- Setting up & packing a tent
- Starting a campfire
- Map reading and using a compass
- Learning the art of Archery
- Hiking
- Enjoying various sports around the camp
Outcomes & Skills Developed:
Each aspect of the itinerary was planned to ensure a balance between adventure and safety. Students were encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace. As a result of their experiences, students have gained:
- SIncreased independence
- A better understanding of camping basics
- Strengthened bonds with their peers
- Enhanced self-organizational skills
- Greater appreciation for nature and the environment
As they return from their camping trip, our students bring back more than just memories. They carry with them newfound skills, friendships, and a deeper connection to the natural world. We are proud to provide such enriching trips that contribute to the holistic development of our students.
